The late November blizzard requires wildlife to take cover and hold up till Mother Nature gives em a few days break between blizzards.
Old Cocks and Big Bucks who a few weeks before were strutten their stuff now head for cover, and find a hideaway. For the avid late season hunter they seem to vanish, only to reappear after season.
|"Black Magic" by John C.
Green - 1998
As the nose hits the ground, the magic begins. The trail's hot, the dogs birdie, as it weaves his way in hot pursuit. His master can only follow in amazement, as nothing we can teach them can explain this (one on one) match in instincts. It's indeed pure magic as one watches this instinct take over to find, flush, and retrieve the bird. We can teach them to sit, stay, retrieve, etc., but we can't teach the magical part - the instinct developed over thousands of years to hunt down the prey. It is truly black magic.
|"Wings Over Green Marsh"
by John C. Green - 1996
After thirty years of painting and receiving numerous awards, including two duck stamps, John says the proudest achievement of his career is having a Game production Hunting area dedicated in his name for his contribution to wildlife.
In tribute to this special area, John did a beautiful painting for the dedication of this game production area.

South Dakota's state capitol in Pierre has been an attraction over the years, not only because of the architectural beauty of the Government building, but also the abundance of waterfowl that gather on the flame heated capital lake and often spend the entire winter on the open water.
"Twilight Session" depicts an early evening scene with Canada Geese in full session.
|"The Culprits" by John
C. Green - 1991
Strutting wildlife in the fresh fallen snow could find this dangerous to their existence. If you look way in the back you will find a sly red fox peeking out at the pheasants and planning for his dinner. To really see the sly fox you go to the large version of "The Culprits."
by John C. Green - 1992
The abandoned family farm whose only residents is the wildlife in the area. An all to familiar sight reminds us of memories of struggle, pride, and joy of the family-run farms of the past.
|These are some of the most perfect gifts. I'm sure you know someone who would really enjoy a wildlife print for Christmas, birthday, anniversary or another special day. Stop back before that special day to order one of these prints.|
